Important Spring Notes

Every time we turn around, it seems like the market is changing all over again. Currently, we (hope) we are looking at a spring market, also known as a traditionally busy real estate season. With this, there are a few important distinctions to make for your sellers.

First, ensure that the home is properly priced. According to Danielle Hale, Chief Economist at, “With a smaller pool of buyers today and more competition from other homes on the market, home sellers will likely need to adjust their price expectations in the market this spring.”

Second, recognize that there are still buyers out there. Lisa Sturtevant, Chief Economist at Bright MLS, said: “For some buyers, higher mortgage rates simply means buying a home is out of the question unless home prices fall. For others, higher mortgage rates will be a hurdle but ultimately will not keep them from getting back into the market after sitting on the sidelines for months.”

As you are preparing for meetings with your potential sellers, remind them that working with an expert realtor is a smart way to help ensure their home sells.
